Job summary

PLUO is seeking a design-focused professional to join our Design Office. You will develop 2D/3D preliminary designs for stands and retail spaces, collaborating closely with sales teams and clients in a B2B environment.

You will contribute to the department's development, support the sales team when needed, and bring fresh techniques and materials to projects while maintaining a client-centric approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in spatial planning (architect, interior designer, designer).
• Junior profile: recent graduate or initial experience in the field.
• Portfolio is essential to apply.

Responsibilities

• Understand the client with the salesperson from brief to understand image, plan, and needs.
• Produce 2D and 3D plans and synthetic images; ensure technical feasibility and write precise specs.
• Defend preliminary designs to salesperson and occasionally present to clients; propose new materials and styles.

About PLUO

For 30 years, PLUO has been designing, manufacturing, and installing custom stands and spaces for European brands in various sectors such as automotive, pharma, tech, retail, and culture. Based in Belgium with over 70 employees, PLUO combines creativity, technical excellence, and sustainable commitment.

Your role

You will join our Design Office, a close-knit team of interior designers who work hand-in-hand with our stand and retail sales teams. The atmosphere is collaborative; we help each other and share the same challenges. Your mission: design unique projects! You will develop our product lines (stands, retail) and deliver creative and high-quality 2D/3D preliminary designs, making PLUO the ideal partner for our clients. You will also contribute to the department's development and occasionally support the sales team. Your clients are exclusively businesses (B2B).

Your Responsibilities

Understand the client

• You analyze with the salesperson, from the moment the brief is taken, the client's image, their communication plans, and their functional needs
• You integrate the budgetary, technical, environmental, and urban planning constraints of the project

Design

• You produce 2D and 3D plans and synthetic images
• You ensure the technical feasibility of your preliminary designs
• You write precise specifications
• You participate in the costing of the preliminary design

Defend and share

• You defend your preliminary designs to the salesperson and clearly explain your creative choices
• You occasionally accompany the salesperson during the presentation of preliminary designs to our clients
• You are proactive in proposing new techniques, materials, and styles

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

• Degree in spatial planning (architect, interior designer, designer)
• Junior profile: you are a recent graduate or have some initial experience in the field

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in at least one 2D/3D design software (Vectorworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp)
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Office Suite
• Knowledge of AI: an asset

Soft Skills

• Creative, with a positive, curious, and open attitude
• Attentive, with good analytical skills and solution-oriented
• Rigorous, organized, and committed
• Comfortable communicating and explaining your ideasAble to manage stress well

Languages

• Dutch: an asset

A portfolio with a resume is essential to apply
