Vector Synergy in Mons, Belgium, seeks a senior IT engineer with NATO Secret clearance to design, implement and support DCIS engineering projects. You will work within a DevOps environment emphasizing CI, automated deployments, and system monitoring, guiding junior staff in incident and problem management.

The role requires a strong background in storage and virtualization technologies, ITIL Service Operation, and hands-on Ansible, Linux, and Windows administration, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2 years post-related experience, or 6+ years of progressive expertise in relevant duties.
• At least 5 years' experience with centralized storage systems (FC, iSCSI, SAS, or vSAN).
• 5+ years' experience with VMware ESXi and Virtual Centre in deployable or large enterprise environments.
• Formal ITIL Certification in Service Operation.
• COTS products including MCSA/MCSE, VCP, CCDA/CCNA knowledge.
• Experience with Ansible to manage Red Hat Linux and Windows systems.

Skills, knowledge, experience required:

• A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience. Alternatively, exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post;
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of centralized storage systems based on FC, iSCSI, SAS or Hyper converged technology like vSAN;
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of recent Virtualization Technologies based on VMWare ESXi and Virtual Centre.
• Formal ITIL Certification in Service Operation;
• COTS products (Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, VMWare VCP, Cisco CCDA, CCNA);
• Previous in-depth experience with Ansible configuration management and orchestration tool to manage Redhat Linux and Windows systems.

Duties/role:

• Providing professional and technical contributions to the design, development, and execution of DCIS engineering projects;
• Contributing to and participating in a Development Operations (DevOps) environment using concepts such as continuous integration, continuous change management, deployment automation, and system monitoring;
• Supporting junior staff with incident management, service request, and problem management processes as the senior engineer and ultimate problem solver.
