Fluxys is seeking an Industrial Automation Technician for the Zeebrugge LNG terminal to ensure the safe and reliable operation of automation, process control and safety systems. You will combine industrial automation, IT and OT cybersecurity to support continuity and safety of the terminal installations.

Qualifications

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Applied Computer Science, Cybersecurity or have equivalent experience.
• You have at least three years’ experience in an industrial process environment.
• You are familiar with PLC, DCS/SCADA and HMI systems and OT networks.

Responsabilités

• Design and manage HMI process displays and modify existing installations.
• Manage servers, workstations, engineering stations and industrial networks.
• Oversee CCTV, access control and perimeter surveillance systems.
• Implement OT/IACS cybersecurity measures and manage user access rights.
• Supervise suppliers’ interventions and ensure secure use of hardware and data media.
• Record changes and keep configurations, backups and documentation up to date.
• Analyze faults and incidents within the OT environment and participate in improvements.
• Contribute to testing, commissioning and FAT/SAT activities.
• partake in on-call rota to keep operations running smoothly.

The LNG terminal in Zeebrugge is the gateway for LNG (liquefied natural gas) supplies to north-western Europe. LNG unloaded at the terminal can be resold for supply to the Belgian market, traded at the Zeebrugge Hub, or transported to other end-user markets in all directions: the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, France and Southern Europe.

For our LNG terminal in Zeebrugge we are looking for an Industrial Automation Technician (m/f/x).

Job purpose

As an Industrial Automation Technician, you will help to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the automation, process control and safety systems at the LNG terminal. You combine industrial automation, industrial IT and OT cybersecurity. Through maintenance, fault analysis and technical improvements, you will help to ensure the continuity and safety of the terminal installations.

Your responsibilities

• Together with your colleagues in the Automation team, you will be responsible for the configuration, programming, implementation and maintenance of PLC, DCS, SCADA and HMI systems
• You will design and manage HMI process displays and provide support for modifications to existing installations
• You will help to manage the servers, workstations, engineering stations, industrial networks and associated infrastructure
• You will help to manage the CCTV, access control and perimeter surveillance systems
• You will implement the OT/IACS cybersecurity measures and support the management of user accounts and access rights
• You will oversee suppliers’ interventions and ensure that changes, external hardware and data storage media are used securely
• You record changes and keep configurations, backups, software versions and technical documentation up to date
• You will analyse and resolve technical faults, vulnerabilities and incidents within the OT environment
• You will be involved in improvement projects, technical testing, commissioning and FAT/SAT activities
• Where necessary, you will be part of an on-call rota, during which you will help to resolve any faults to ensure that operations continue to run smoothly

About you

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Applied Computer Science, Cybersecurity or have equivalent experience
• You have at least three years’ experience in an industrial process environment
• You have a good knowledge of PLC, DCS/SCADA and HMI systems and are familiar with industrial IT, Windows systems, virtualisation and OT networks
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as access control, network segmentation, patching, backup and recovery is an advantage, as is knowledge of IEC 62443 or NIS2
• You work with precision and in a structured manner, analyse problems methodically, and pay close attention to safety, business continuity and cyber security
• You are able to work both independently and as part of a team, and you have an interest in industrial security systems such as CCTV, access control and perimeter surveillance
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good command of technical English.

In addition, this role requires:

• Willingness to take on on-call and standby duties in the long term, depending on how the role develops and the needs of the department.
• A place of residence within 60 minutes of our LNG terminal in Zeebrugge
• A Category B driving licence
