The British School of Brussels in Tervuren is seeking an independent harp teacher to join as a part-time instructor. The school provides a practice room, lever harp and piano, plus timetable support; lessons are 30-minute sessions throughout the day.

Two beginner students currently, with potential to grow. Ideal candidates will have music qualifications and teaching experience, including ABRSM exam preparation; you will teach from beginner to advanced levels, read music, and support choir

Qualifications

• Well qualified in music with teaching experience, ABRSM exam prep preferred.
• Able to teach range from beginner to high level and develop sight reading and aural skills.
• Inspire and motivate students; make learning enjoyable.
• Relate well to young people and colleagues.
• Teach ABRSM syllabus and enter students for examinations.
• Play harp to a high standard with performance qualifications.
• Enthusiastic, inspiring; encourage choir participation and performances.
• Flexible and able to be part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Teach harp to students from beginner to advanced.
• Prepare ABRSM or similar exam candidates.
• Ensure students read music and develop sight reading and aural skills.
• Timetable lessons and provide admin support as needed.
• Encourage choir participation and performance opportunities.
• Collaborate with staff and be flexible.
