Docbyte is seeking an Implementation Consultant to help customers configure Docbyte Vault and connect it to their systems. The role blends hands-on delivery with design, and grows toward technical pre-sales through discovery, demonstrations, and solution shaping.
We welcome both strong juniors and mediors with migration, integration, or delivery experience. The position is largely remote with a hybrid baseline at Docbyte's Ghent HQ.
Docbyte is looking for an Implementation Consultant to help customers and partners configure and connect Docbyte Vault to their existing systems.
This role is designed for someone who wants more than a purely technical delivery position. You will start with hands‑on implementation work, supported by the team, and grow toward a role that combines customer delivery, solution design and technical pre‑sales.
We are open to both a strong junior candidate who is ready to learn quickly and a medior consultant with experience in customer‑facing migration or integration projects.
You will gradually take responsibility for:
Customer contact starts early, with internal training and test sessions first. As your delivery foundation grows, you will join customer calls and build toward confident, direct communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
As you gain experience, the role expands into technical pre‑sales support. Together with a salesperson, you will:
The ramp-up is ambitious, but you will receive technical training and close support from the team.
After approximately one month, you should be able to support a Docbyte Vault configuration, an Apache NiFi flow and migration preparation.
After six months, you should be able to work alongside a salesperson in technical pre‑sales: structuring a customer need, supporting or delivering a relevant demo, shaping the solution, preparing technical input for an offer and participating confidently in customer discussions.
After one year, success means becoming a reliable technical pre‑sales partner who helps the sales team win customer projects, not simply counting the number of implementations delivered.
For a medior candidate, we expect demonstrable customer contact and experience in migration, consulting, integration or a comparable delivery environment.
For a junior candidate, previous migration or customer experience is not required. We will look for evidence of potential through internships, personal projects, communication, AI
capability, learning speed and the maturity to grow into customer-facing work.
You will combine technical work, customer interaction and commercial impact. You will learn by doing, work closely with experienced consultants and use AI as a practical part of your day‑to‑day work. The role gives you a clear path from implementation delivery to technical pre‑sales support for projects with large international enterprises.
Customer work is predominantly remote, while the role is based mainly at Docbyte's headquarters in Ghent. The hybrid baseline is three office days per week, with an expectation of approximately three to five office days depending on the work and team needs. On‑site customer visits are expected roughly once per month. Overnight stays and business travel are rare.
