Job summary

Painting with Light is seeking a Technical Designer to bridge creative vision and technical execution for AV, lighting, and multimedia installations. You will develop system architectures, create installation drawings, and prepare BOQs while coordinating with designers, managers and suppliers.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with show control platforms and BIM workflows, plus proficiency in Vectorworks/AutoCAD and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Translate design intent into technically feasible solutions.
• Develop system architectures for AV, lighting and multimedia installations.
• Create technical drawings, schematics, layouts and installation documentation.
• Prepare equipment schedules, technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Support project budgeting and evaluate technical solutions based on performance, feasibility and cost.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, suppliers and installation partners.
• Assist in technical procurement and product selection.
• Verify designs against technical, operational and budget requirements.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
