Pauwels Consulting is seeking a System Architect to define and safeguard the end-to-end architecture of our client's on‑premise infrastructure platforms, translating strategic direction into clear architectural choices for compute and storage supporting critical banking workloads.

You will own the system architecture for virtualization, SAN/NAS, DRP and HPC, while aligning with Open Systems security and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in system architecture for infrastructure platforms (IaaS compute/storage).
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, SAN/NAS, DRP, HPC.
• Experience with Open Systems security and infrastructure governance.

Responsabilités

• Own the system architecture for infrastructure platforms including virtualization, cluster design, SAN/NAS, and DRP constructs.
• Define and maintain architectural principles, guardrails, and standards aligned with enterprise expectations.
• Develop the architectural runway to enable platform capabilities while managing technical debt.
• Guide designs proposed by teams, vendors, and integrators to ensure consistency across environments.
• Lead decisions on availability, resilience, performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with product management and security to ensure architectures are auditable and operationally sound.
