Job summary

Jefferson Wells Belgium seeks a Designer Specialist - Secondary Systems to join the Belgian energy sector. You will help develop and maintain standards for protection, control, automation and measurement systems in high-voltage installations, contributing to Belgium's electricity grid evolution.

You will review drawings, create AutoCAD symbols, prepare electrical schematics, manage planning and enhance engineering tools with Excel VBA/macros, while collaborating across teams and occasionally

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Energy Technology, Electromechanics, Electronics or equivalent.
• Able to read electrical schematics and have knowledge of electricity.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Excel VBA/macros is an asset.
• Initial experience in a similar technical role.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French with a good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate standard drawings and technical designs.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) when required.
• Create and update symbols and libraries in AutoCAD.
• Prepare and review electrical schematics, protection diagrams and standard drawings.
• Manage your own planning and ensure timely project delivery.
• Maintain and improve standards and engineering tools using Excel VBA/macros.
• Develop additional Excel-based tools to support engineering activities.
