microTECH Global LTD in Belgium seeks a Photonics Design Engineer to lead high-speed modulator development for 400G+ applications. You will design, simulate, and validate photonic components and subsystems in a cutting-edge silicon photonics program.

The role requires a PhD (or MSc with significant experience) in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics, with hands-on experience in photonic modelling tools (Lumerical, COMSOL) and RF/process modelling.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with strong photonics background and hands-on project experience.
• Experience designing and testing photonic components in silicon photonics or III/V materials.
• Proven track record in high-speed modulator development and RF integration.

Responsabilités

• Develop advanced silicon photonics platforms for high-speed modulators.
• Evaluate modulator topologies and integrate new materials into mass-manufacturing platforms.
• Define test plans and analyze experimental data during R&D phases.
• Collaborate with process and test teams to ensure successful development.
