Equans in Belgium is seeking a Department Manager Solar & Storage to define growth strategy, lead a multidisciplinary team, and oversee the department’s performance within the Carbon Shift division. You will manage solar and battery installations and collaborate across HR and commercial teams to drive profitability.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic partnerships, and a strong financial mindset, with bases in Belgium and P&L responsibility for the department.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or business engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in solar, infrastructure or energy.
• Experience in project management and team leadership.
• Experience in sales and contract negotiations.
• Strong financial awareness and reporting experience.

Responsabilités

• Define and execute the growth strategy for Solar & Storage in Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Strengthen the department’s market position and build strategic partnerships.
• Identify new business opportunities and support competitive advantage.
• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team.
• Support recruitment, development and training initiatives with HR.
• Promote safety, innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Oversee operational activities and ensure efficient project planning and delivery.
• Maintain high standards in quality, HSEQ and customer satisfaction.
• Improve processes to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
• Manage the department’s P&L, including budgeting, reporting and profitability.
• Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee commercial activities and support key customer relationships.
• Lead major contract negotiations and contribute to tender decisions.
• Manage project execution and performance across the department.
• Report directly to the Division Manager and take ownership of results.
