UCB S.A. in Brussels, Belgium, seeks a Head of Scientific Computing & Technology to lead high-performance compute platforms and AI-enabled research support within the Digital Technology for R&D team.

You will build and guide a team of experts, set technology strategy, manage budgets, partner with research and IT, and ensure secure, compliant operations across platforms in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technology field.
• 8+ years in technology leadership, HPC and software development with cloud know-how.
• Proven track record leading teams and external contractors.

Responsabilités

• Steer design of advanced tech solutions and HPC platforms for scientific research.
• Lead, coach and inspire a diverse team of internal specialists and external contractors.
• Oversee lifecycle management of the technology platform portfolio in scope of the role.
• Represent the team in committees covering HPC and project prioritization.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across research, IT infrastructure, IT security and Enterprise Architecture.
• Plan, manage and control technology budgets with disciplined investments.
• Ensure platforms are secure, compliant and reliably operated.
