Ageas in Belgium seeks a senior Financial Accounting & Closing lead to drive monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring IFRS/Belgian GAAP reporting and robust internal controls. You will partner with Consolidation, Treasury, Tax and HR, while developing a 5-person accounting team in a hybrid setup with up to 50% home working.

The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience, Master/BA in Finance, and fluency in English with French/Dutch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Finance or Business Administration.
• 7+ years of relevant experience; Big Four a plus.
• Experience leading a small team.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP and IFRS (IFRS17, IFRS9).
• ERP experience: Oracle Netsuite, SAP, Onestream.
• Fluent in English and French/Dutch.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and coordinate audits.
• Partner with Consolidation, Treasury, Tax and HR.
• Drive process automation and ERP enhancements.
• Manage and develop a team of about five people.
