Hardware Design Engineer (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- You will become part of one of the development teams responsible for developing electronic hardware.
- As a member of a strong hardware engineering team that applies state‑of‑the‑art best practices in hardware engineering, you will contribute to the specification, design, prototyping, and debugging of hardware products.
- The team develops frame grabbers—circuits for high‑speed data acquisition—using 100G CoaXPress, 100G Ethernet, (LP)DDR4‑5, and PCIe Gen4‑5‑6 technologies.
- You will be involved in all aspects of hardware design, from the initial design phases through to production readiness, including component selection, electrical calculations, schematic design, layout specification creation, signal integrity simulations, power integrity simulations, layout design and verification, laboratory measurements, and troubleshooting prototypes.
Your profile
- Master’s or doctoral degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in the design of electronic circuit boards with a focus on the following areas: high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe Gen4–5, (LP)DDR4‑5, 12G‑SDI, 100G Ethernet, etc.); FPGAs; power supplies; EMC.
- Expertise in the design and simulation of signal integrity and power integrity (using Siemens Hyperlynx or an equivalent tool) Design and simulation of analog circuits (SPICE)
- Experience with Altium Designer or an equivalent tool for schematic and layout design
- Extensive experience with laboratory measurements and troubleshooting electronic circuits
- Experience in mechanical engineering (enclosures and thermal aspects) is a plus
- Strong organizational skills in document management and the creation of design documentation
- Experience with a PLM system is a plus
- Very good French (B2 or higher) and English (B2 or higher) skills.
- German is a plus
