ATOS is seeking a Solution Architect to understand functional and business needs and translate them into pragmatic, implementable technical solutions. The focus is on custom-built applications, working with development teams and customer stakeholders in a delivery-oriented mindset.

The role involves advising clients, aligning architectures, and communicating clearly with various stakeholders in a public-sector context to deliver tangible results and drive efficient change.

Qualifications

• An experienced hands-on solution architect or senior engineer with architectural responsibilities;
• Comfortable working close to development teams and project delivery;
• Experienced in complex application landscapes, without necessarily operating at full enterprise‑strategy level;
• Able to structure problems and propose workable solutions rather than theoretical models;
• Strong communication skills; fluent in Dutch (mandatory);
• Customer-oriented, pragmatic, and solution-driven;
• Motivated to support teams and customers in achieving concrete results.

Responsabilités

• Understand business and functional needs of clients and translate them into concrete technical solutions;
• Advise customers on solution options and support the translation of needs into realistic implementation approaches;
• Contribute to the definition and alignment of solution architectures within the broader context of the customer environment;
• Work closely with customer stakeholders, users, and project teams, building trust through clear communication and sound judgement;
• Interact with a variety of stakeholders in a public-sector context, including functional leads and project sponsors;
• Explain and defend architectural choices in a clear and pragmatic way;
• Be able to negotiate trade-offs between scope, cost, quality, and time;
• Actively support solution choices that improve business processes, innovation, or efficiency;
• Guide customers through change by explaining the impact of architectural decisions;
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams and share knowledge with developers and fellow architects;
• Coach and support developers or junior architects where relevant;
• Be a team player with a collaborative attitude.
