Working very closely with the Domain Architects, Technical Leads, Application Domain Owners, Business and other stakeholders to architect robust, reliable, performant, scalable solutions.
You support the delivery of IT initiatives as Solution Architect accountable for the definition and the realization of end-to-end architecture solutions that fulfil the functional, non-functional, security & resilience requirements.
Role:
- Understanding the Business Requirements and Technical Constraints
- Delivering a coherent end-to-end IT solution that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensuring that the IT solution complies with the Enterprise Architecture standards and the business needs.
- Estimating effort to implement the solution.
- Presenting proposed solution architecture and plans to management and all stakeholders.
- Ensuring end-to-end consistency of solution delivery across platforms and teams by, for instance, organising walkthroughs of the solution with delivery teams.
- Ensuring that the solution meets guidelines and standards for design and development.
- Undertaking hands-on development (e.g.: Establishing prototypes / proof of concepts to prove the key components of the proposed new architecture).
- Coach staff in the new technologies used.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as Solutions Architect with overall IT experience of minimum 10 years.
- Experience in Financial Services industry is desired but not essential.
- Experience of having worked in end-to-end solution architecture on large projects with stringent recovery, availability, operability & resiliency requirements.
- Preferably proven experience in Microsoft technologies, modernising monolithic applications, event-driven and API architecture, and cloud computing.
- You are a problem-solver with strong analytical skills (e.g. breaking up & structuring complex problems into manageable pieces), which you apply to problems spanning across multiple architectural domains.
- You are proactive in identifying the need for change and proposing solutions that are innovative and make the difference in improving our IT software delivery or engineering processes.
- You can use your experience & knowledge to build strong relationships with other solution architects and the other divisions of the organisation.
- You will also be able to coach & mentor new members of the team in how to apply solutions architecture and to understand the domains and their interactions & complexities.
