Xintas is seeking a senior cloud architect to design and implement a Google Cloud Foundation MVP, aligning to enterprise architecture, security and governance requirements for an organization planning to adopt Google Gemini and integrate with existing AI platforms.

You will shape IAM, security, networking, and cost governance, implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Python, and guide migration of workloads while establishing an on-going operating model with DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud foundations or landing zones.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, security, networking and cloud governance.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.

Our client is planning on building a Google Cloud Foundation MVP with as first use case, to enable the use of Google Gemini alongside existing AI platforms such as Microsoft Foundry and AWS Bedrock.

The assignment includes establishing a future-proof Google Cloud Foundation, as well as migrating existing use cases.

In the longer term, the platform should evolve into an enterprise‑ready solution that enables future DevOps teams to be onboarded efficiently while adhering to the internal standards, policies and governance requirements.

Role

You will play a key role in designing and/or implementing a Google Cloud Foundation that meets the enterprise architecture, security and governance requirements.

Depending on your profile, the focus may be on architecture, implementation, or a combination of both.

List of Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Design an enterprise-wide Google Cloud architecture aligned with the internal guidelines, standards and policies.

Define a future-proof cloud foundation with as first use‑case, enabling the adoption of Google Gemini across the organization.

Create architecture principles and design patterns to support future DevOps team onboarding.

Provide guidance on governance, security and operational models.

Security & Governance

Develop a threat model.

Design security controls and integrate them with existing security processes.

Define governance standards covering:

Encryption

Access management

Compliance requirements

Identity & Access Management

Design and implement IAM architectures.

RBAC model

Federated Identity

Least Privilege Access principles

Operations & Monitoring

Implement logging, monitoring and observability capabilities.

Integrate with existing SIEM platforms.

Define operational processes for incident management and platform operations.

Define an engagement model with Google similar to the current operating model used with AWS and Azure.

Establish cost tracking, showback/chargeback and cost management processes.

Advise on cloud governance and lifecycle management.

Networking

Design and implement Google Cloud networking architectures.

Implementation

Automate platform components using Infrastructure as Code.

Implement foundational services and security controls.

Support the migration of existing workloads to the new platform.

Ideal Profile

Must-Have

Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments.

Experience designing and implementing cloud foundations or landing zones.

Strong knowledge of IAM, security, networking and cloud governance.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
