A leading cosmetic firm in Louvain-la-Neuve is seeking a professional to take ownership of a strategic portfolio of cosmetic actives and natural extracts. You will lead product lifecycle phases and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology with at least 3 years of experience in cosmetic active ingredients. You will drive growth in an innovative and dynamic environment, with options for remote work up to 2 days a week.

  • Experience in R&D and project management.
  • Knowledge in plant extraction and botanical extracts is appreciated.

Description du poste

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will take full ownership of a strategic portfolio of cosmetic actives and natural extracts.

You will act as the central coordinator across all departments involved in the product life cycle (Sales, Marketing, Communication, Production, Planning, Supply Chain, IP, R&D, Safety/Regulatory, CSR, Quality).

This position combines strategy and execution, giving you the chance to drive the growth of innovative product lines while evolving in a dynamic, international, science-driven environment.

Product Vision & Strategy
  • Define the long-term vision and roadmap for cosmetic actives & natural extracts.
  • Drive execution of projects aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
Product Development
  • Lead all phases of the product life cycle, from concept to market launch.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Production, Procurement, Marketing, IP, CROs/clinical testing).
Technology Scouting & Partnerships
  • Identify new opportunities (scientific, technological, commercial).
  • Build and manage collaborations with external partners to expand innovation.
Market Intelligence
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis.
  • Anticipate customer needs and translate them into new product opportunities.
Customer & Sales Support
  • Provide technical expertise to our sales team and customers.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to design integrated marketing campaigns and ensure impactful product communication.

Curious, scientifically driven and business-oriented, you hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology and bring at least 3 years of experience in cosmetic active ingredients. (R&D, Project Management…)

You combine scientific expertise (skin & hair physiology, in vitro/ex vivo assays, clinical testing) with a strong product & market mindset. Knowledge in plant extraction and botanical extracts for cosmetics is appreciated.

Organized and proactive, you know how to manage complex projects in an international context, coordinating cross-functional teams with rigor and efficiency. You are comfortable moving from strategic discussions to technical details, and you always ensure projects are brought to completion.

As a natural team player, you thrive in small, agile teams, where versatility and collaboration are key. Your excellent communication and presentation skills allow you to support both internal teams and customers with impact.

You are fluent in English and proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

You are open to travel (~20%), mainly for customer visits and trade shows.

This position is based at our site in Louvain-La-Neuve (BE) with the possibility of remote work up to 2 days a week.
