Job summary

Jan De Nul Group in Aalst, Belgium, seeks an experienced Network & Security System Administrator to design, implement, and maintain a robust global IT network supporting offices, sites, and vessels.

You will work with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, SSL, and monitoring in an international project environment, balancing performance and security while collaborating across teams and time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT-related field and 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of switches/routers (Cisco, Aruba) and firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• F5, SSL encryption, VPN, and monitoring experience.
• Methodical, project-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent Dutch and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and configure the global network and security infrastructure.
• Support upgrading and patching systems and manage worldwide networks.
• Manage WAN, firewalls, security perimeter, and switches.
• Provide internal ICT support across offices, ships, and sites.
• Collaborate with Technical Support Engineers on complex issues.
