Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Principal Engineer in Manufacturing Sciences & Technology for the DP-Pilot Plant in Beerse, Belgium. You will manage clinical manufacturing activities, coordinate internal and external production, and drive processes for oral solids, liquids, and parenteral products.

The role spans pilot-scale to commercial readiness in a global setting. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure right-first-time execution, and shape technology transfer

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, (bio)chemical or mechanical engineering with at least 10 years experience in GMP regulated pharmaceutical development/engineering area.
• Experience with oral solid dosage, liquid, and/or parenteral product manufacturing; knowledge of relevant technologies like spray drying, extrusion, and continuous manufacturing.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a helpful additional skill; willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsabilités

• Lead dynamic project coordination within Drug Product Development and Clinical Supply Chain teams.
• Oversee pilot-plant and external CMO manufacturing readiness and tech-transfer preparation.
• Own dedicated project budgets and ensure right-first-time manufacturing.
• Drive process improvements across internal pilot plants and external networks.
