Hitachi Energy is looking for an experienced indirect tax professional to join our global tax team in Belgium. You will help shape the indirect tax strategy, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and drive optimization across international operations using SAP S/4HANA and Vertex.

You will educate teams on indirect tax subjects, manage cross-functional projects and leverage technology to automate processes while supporting global contracts and expansion strategies.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
• Solid understanding of EU VAT Directive and its practical application
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to take ownership of project tasks including indirect tax compliance optimization.

Responsabilités

• Support design and execution of effective strategy for future indirect tax function
• Cooperate with stakeholders for global indirect tax optimization
• Work with tax managers and external advisors on complex projects or global contracts
• Maximize the benefit of technology including SAP S/4 HANA and Vertex and explore AI opportunities
• Be a strong functional lead as a specialist in tax and technology intersections
• Share expertise with team and stakeholders to build company’s indirect tax culture
• Identify cross-tax functional issues and opportunities and work across streams of tax
