Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and automate systems globally. You will diagnose complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support installations at customer sites worldwide.

Role requires travel, strong communication in English and Dutch, plus a basic French. A technicalElectrical/Automation background and 3+ years of experience are essential. Training will be provided to customers on operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in a Field Service, Controls Engineering, Automation, or similar technical role.
Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Controls, or related discipline.
Experience troubleshooting PLC-based systems and industrial automation equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pneumatic drawings, and technical documentation.
Experience in food processing, manufacturing, packaging, or industrial machinery environments is advantageous.

Responsabilités

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
Carry out preventive maintenance, equipment rebuilds, upgrades, and optimization activities.
Support installations, commissioning, and start-up at customer sites worldwide.
Provide technical training to customers in English, French, and Dutch.
Diagnose complex automation issues and implement sustainable solutions.
Follow health, safety, and food safety requirements; maintain high standards.
Document service activities with reports, findings, and recommendations.
Identify spare parts and suggest upgrades to improve performance.
Build strong customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
Collaborate with Technical Support, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Care.
Provide flexible support including weekend work and emergency responses.
