Job summary

Cementir Group is seeking an Electrical & Automation Engineer to support our plants across regions on electrical and automation projects and maintenance. You will standardise systems across sites and help local teams build their skills, reporting to the Group Electrical & Automation Manager.

Responsibilities include managing electrical, automation and digitalisation projects, optimising systems, collaborating with the Process team, leading energy management activities, and supporting CAPEX

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Automation Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in cement plants or heavy industry in industrial automation, electrical maintenance and project management.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage power systems, electric motors, frequency converters and field instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Schneider, ABB), process control and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with industrial weighing, dosing and material handling systems.
• Ability to diagnose failures, carry out root cause analysis and improve processes.
• Project management experience with field practice.
• At ease working with production, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces when needed.
• Fluent English required; French is an asset.
• Available for frequent travel to Group plants, up to 50% internationally

Responsibilities

• Support Cementir plants in several countries on electrical and automation topics.
• Standardise electrical and automation systems across sites.
• Set up benchmarks between plants on electrical and automation performance.
• Strengthen the electrical and automation skills of site teams.
• Support the rollout of Group projects and initiatives, and ensure they are properly implemented in every region and business unit.
• Manage electrical, automation and digitalisation projects across Group plants.
• Optimise automation systems in line with industrial best practices.
• Work with the Process team to meet automation requirements.
• Lead energy management and energy efficiency activities on site.
• Support CAPEX Project Managers in defining electrical and automation specifications, then in monitoring execution.
