Michael Page is seeking a GL Accountant in Brussels for a position within the medical & pharma sector. You will manage daily AP/AR/GL entries, ensure data accuracy, perform reconciliations, and support month- and year-end closings in BE GAAP.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 5–10 years of experience, strong Belgian GAAP knowledge, and fluency in French (Dutch is a plus). Flexible hours and remote work are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP.
• Experience in a small or medium-sized international structure is a strong asset.
• Hands-on accounting with an end-to-end view.
• Good command of French (invoices and local documentation).
• Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Autonomous, reliable and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable in a small team with broad responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Daily accounting entries in AP, AR and GL.
• Ensuring accuracy of all data.
• Reconciliation of accounts.
• Monthly and yearly closings.
• Preparation and analysis of cash flow.
• Preparation of the financial statements (BE GAAP).
• Financial reporting to group.
• VAT-declaration and statutory reporting NBB / Intrastat.
• Assisting with external audits and internal controls.
• Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Acting as a point of contact within the finance team.
