Faktion | AI Solutions & Advisory is seeking an experienced GenAI Lead Engineer to steer NLP and generative AI initiatives across industries, shaping architecture, MLOps, and scalable back-end services. You will mentor a growing AI team and align projects with business goals.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay at the forefront of NLP advances, delivering robust, production-ready AI solutions for clients while maintaining high documentation standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in NLP/generative AI with transformer architectures and embeddings.
• Proven leadership in AI/ML projects and mentoring teams.
• Strong Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face experience; TS a plus.
• Expertise in NLP techniques: text classification, NER, sentiment, generation.
• LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and evaluation methodologies.
• Solid data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Cloud experience with Azure; familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and enhancement of NLP and generative/agentic models.
• Define proprietary integrations with third-party AI solutions for customers.
• Collaborate with Head of AI, AI Engineers, and Product Managers to align goals.
• Research and integrate cutting-edge NLP techniques into offerings.
• Scale NLP and generative systems for performance and reliability.
• Oversee MLOps pipelines from preprocessing to deployment and monitoring.
• Build and maintain containerised AI back-end services (Docker, FastAPI).
• Create technical docs, specs, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Establish and evolve best practices within the NLP/AI team.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to engineers and juniors.
