Artefact Belgium is seeking a Data Scientist - Gen AI in Brussels to work on LLM and GenAI projects, collaborating with leading experts in a dynamic environment.

You will design, train, and fine-tune models, apply agentic AI and MCP protocols, and explore novel generative AI applications to address real business challenges. The role offers growth, training, and global expertise access.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with AI/NLP libraries.
• Experience fine-tuning models and evaluating NLP systems.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in English; Dutch or French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and fine-tune state-of-the-art models for client/internal projects.
• Develop and integrate agentic AI solutions using tool calling and MCP protocols.
• Research and implement innovative generative AI applications to solve business problems.
• Create evaluation frameworks and metrics to measure LLM performance.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and usability of LLM-powered products.
• Support deployment and maintenance of AI systems including APIs.
• Participate in technical discussions to shape solutions.
