Antwerpen Business Line Software
With Sofisk, Larcier Intersentia builds the software Belgian accountants and bookkeepers use to prepare and file their personal income tax and corporate income tax returns and their annual accounts. To support our growth, we are looking for a Functional Analyst who translates the tax and accounting world into working software. You know the accountant's work from the inside and translate it into the software, so Sofisk keeps doing what tax advisors really need.
Your Role
- You analyse market needs, on your own or in close collaboration with our business consultants and sales and translate them into concrete product improvements and roadmap input.
- You stay on top of new tax legislation and translate it into the application: from a change in the law to working functionality in Sofisk.
- You wireframe and discuss new features and improvements together with the development team.
- You write clear functional analyses and act as the bridge between the business and the developers, so requirements are unambiguous.
- You take an active part in testing, so that improvements truly meet the tax and functional expectations.
- You build and maintain a deep knowledge of the product and its domain, so we live up to our position as a specialist.
- You work closely with and are guided by the project manager.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy-tax, master's in tax law, or equivalent by experience (accountant/tax advisor).
- Good knowledge of at least one of the three domains: personal income tax, corporate income tax or annual accounts. Knowledge of all three is a strong plus.
- Work experience in an accountancy or bookkeeping firm, or in a tax/accounting role.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, comfortable working both independently and in a team.
- Strong communication skills: you translate complex tax matters clearly to colleagues and developers.
- Comfortable with software and digital tools, with a strong affinity for AI (matching how our team works with AI tooling). The role is functional and not technical. You do not need to be able to code.
- Dutch as a native language or at a very high level, English very good (mandatory); knowledge of French is a big plus.
Our Offer
- A work environment that offers you plenty of opportunities to innovate and grow, to demonstrate your full potential and to have an impact.
- An inspiring culture that puts people first, is positive, collaborative & creative.
- You will work in a flexible and agile environment where interaction is key.
- A good work-life balance with hybrid working, flexible schedules and even the possibility to choose for a 5- or 4-day workweek.
- An attractive salary and additional benefits adapted to your level of experience (company car, meal vouchers, full package of insurances, 34 days off, homeworking allowance, …).
