EngiFlex BV in Brussels is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to strengthen our teams during a large-scale transformation. You will engage across the full lifecycle, bridging business stakeholders and delivery teams in an Agile environment.

You will build strong relationships, analyse and document processes, translate requirements into concrete solutions, and support end-to-end delivery while collaborating with business analysts, developers and project coordinators.

Tasks and responsibilities

Within a large-scale business transformation programme, we are looking for an experienced functional analyst to strengthen the existing teams.

You will contribute to the handover, refactoring and greenfield delivery of business applications in an Agile environment. In this role, you will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle and act as a key link between business stakeholders and delivery teams.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, project stakeholders, team leads and relevant partners.
• Identify, analyse, document and validate existing business processes as well as new functional and non-functional user needs.
• Translate requirements into concrete business solutions through functional analysis, application design and customer journey thinking.
• Collaborate with technical team members to validate the functional design and support the translation into technical specifications.
• Follow up end-to-end on the delivery of new functionalities and applications.
• Prepare and maintain the documentation required throughout the different project phases.
• Work closely with business analysts, developers and project coordinators to refine and validate proposed solutions.
• Support project managers by reporting status, facilitating decision-making, managing risks and escalating when necessary.
• Contribute to test analysis and design, including the preparation of test plans and test cases.

Deliverables

You are expected to deliver high-quality analysis artefacts within the agreed timelines, including:

• Analysis documentation
• Software requirements specifications, including diagrams and supporting analysis
• Data models
• User stories
• Test plans and test cases

Your profile

You bring solid experience as a functional analyst and are comfortable working on complex application landscapes.

• Strong functional and business analysis skills, with the ability to understand complex topics quickly.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills for collaborating with business and development teams.
• Customer-oriented and solution-driven mindset.
• Ability to abstract and structure complex information clearly.
• Adaptable and willing to work in changing business contexts.
• Able to integrate smoothly into an existing team and guide junior colleagues.
• Experience with Agile / Scrum ways of working.
• Good understanding of technical concepts and terminology such as APIs, mappings, business models, batches and services, in order to perform strong functional analyses.
• Experience with BPMN, UML, functional analysis, user story writing, test analysis and design, SQL and tools such as Confluence.
• Knowledge of one national language at active level: French or Dutch, including understanding, speaking, reading and writing technical documentation.
• Active knowledge of English, especially for documentation.
• Knowledge of the second national language is a plus.
• Belgian nationality is required due to the nature of the activities.

Location

The role is based in Brussels, near Brussels-South station. Homeworking is possible up to 3 days per week.
