In4Matic in Belgium is seeking experienced full-stack developers to support modernization and build business applications. You will work with established development teams to improve security, maintainability, performance and long-term sustainability.

The role requires strong hands-on Angular 9+ and Spring Boot with Java, REST, SQL and front-end skills. Fluency in Dutch, English and French is expected for this long-term consulting opportunity.

Qualifications

Function

Our client is looking for experienced full-stack developers to support the development of business applications and the modernization of an existing application landscape. The focus is on improving security, maintainability, performance, and long-term technical sustainability while working closely with established development teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and evolution of business-critical applications across different processes and application areas.
• Modernize existing functionality and, where needed, redesign or rewrite legacy components.
• Build new features in line with ongoing business and technical needs.
• Support the modernization of data collection applications used for enterprises and citizens, including processes related to statistical data collection and sample management.
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver solutions according to planning and operational priorities.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Angular, with recent development exposure in Angular 9+ and new applications built in Angular 17+.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Solid background in Java development.
• Good understanding of REST-based services.
• Experience with SQL.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Exposure to .NET is mentioned as part of the required skill set.

Profile

• At least 5 years of experience with Angular.
• At least 5 years of experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
• Proven experience as an application developer.
• Comfortable working in a modern full-stack environment as well as with legacy technologies and processes.
• Able to contribute to both maintenance and modernization initiatives.

Practical Information

• Languages: fluent Dutch, fluent English, and fluent French.
