N-SIDE, based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer - Life Sciences. You will join the Life Science Engineering team and help build software solutions addressing complex challenges in the life sciences sector.

The role involves front-end and back-end development, API design, containerization, and close collaboration with product managers and domain experts to translate requirements into efficient, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Typescript and React with full-stack focus.
• Solid SQL database knowledge and REST API management.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• DevOps mindset with CI/CD practices and experience in monitoring tools.

We are looking for a bright Full-Stack Software Engineer - Life Sciences to join our Life Science Engineering team based in Louvain-la-Neuve

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer - Life Sciences, you willcollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, deliver and maintain high-quality software solutions that address complex business challenges in the life sciences sector.

What you'll do:

• Participate within a team in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including problem framing, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support..
• Develop, deliver and maintain both front-end and back-end, and algorithmic components of our applications, ensuring seamless integration and excellent user experience.
• Implement robust, scalable, and secure APIs and web services to enhance platform capabilities.
• Work closely with product managers and industry experts to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into efficient algorithmic and technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Participate in containerization (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm charts, Argo, …), continuous integration & continuous deployment aspects. You will also improve the usage of the monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for our products.
• Provide second-line technical support to our customers. This task will constitute a minor portion of your responsibilities, yet may exceptionally require completion outside of regular business hours (with additional compensation and/or benefits provided).
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, algorithmic approaches and industry trends to drive continuous innovation in our software products.

About you:

• You have a Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field.
• You have solid programming skills and are proficient in Typescript and React.
• You have a solid understanding of SQL database technologies and REST API management.
• You are a full-stack developer with backend and algorithmic affinities.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm charts, Argo, …).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Familiarity with the life sciences industry, or supply chain management is a plus.
• Familiarity with Scrum is a plus.
• You are fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
• You are customer-minded, rigorous and results-driven.
• You have a great team spirit, sense of initiative and responsibility.
• You have a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the life sciences industry.
