ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS is seeking a seasoned Full-Stack Developer with strong Geospatial/SIG expertise to join our team in Belgium. You will contribute to web mapping applications and geospatial APIs, building reusable components and integrating them into modern solutions.

You will collaborate with GIS specialists and developers, implement GIS concepts, and contribute to high-quality software through testing and documentation. French language skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in geospatial software development.
• Solid understanding of GIS concepts and OGC standards.
• Experience with web mapping applications and geospatial APIs.
• Excellent written and spoken French.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer with strong Geospatial/SIG expertise to join a team working on web mapping applications and geospatial APIs.

You will contribute to the development and evolution of reusable mapping components and their integration into modern web mapping applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements and contribute to technical design;
• Develop and maintain mapping widgets and API components;
• Integrate components into web mapping applications;
• Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance;
• Develop unit tests and contribute to software quality;
• Write technical and integration documentation;
• Collaborate with business analysts, GIS specialists and developers;
• Contribute to knowledge transfer within the team.

Technical Environment

Back-End: Java, Spring, Java Topology Suite, REST / SOA.

GIS: GeoJSON, WMS, WMTS, WFS, OGC, GeoServer, ArcGIS Enterprise, Oracle Spatial, PostGIS.

Tools: Git, Jenkins, Jira, Nexus, Playwright.

Required Profile

• Medior / Senior with 3+ years of relevant experience;
• Solid understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data and OGC standards;
• Experience with web mapping applications and geospatial APIs;
• Experience contributing significantly to at least 5 web mapping projects over the last 3 years;
• Autonomous, analytical and team-oriented;
• Excellent written and spoken French.
