Jobtailor is seeking a highly capable engineer to engage with defence and security users, designing and deploying Palantir Foundry pipelines and operator-facing apps. You will integrate live intelligence into workflows and create custom widgets, owning projects end-to-end from whiteboard to deployment.

You will travel in Europe about 25–75%, work on on-premise or restricted environments, and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while maintaining security compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in computer science or equivalent technical field.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience: pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Workbooks, app development.
• Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash, or Go.
• Three or more years of professional software engineering or forward-deployed experience shipping production systems.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models.
• Experience with Docker or Podman containers and Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration.
• Solid Linux, networking, and on-premise fundamentals.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the EU, or be UK-based; security clearance required.

Responsabilités

• Engage with defence and security users to understand situational-awareness and force-protection needs.
• Scope solutions against customer operational requirements.
• Design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models, and operator-facing applications.
• Integrate live intelligence into existing workflows, common operating pictures, and command-and-control tooling.
• Build and tune custom widgets based on user needs.
• Own solutions end to end, from initial whiteboard sketch through deployment.
• Debug infrastructure, networking, and application issues across the full stack.
• Work in restricted, disconnected, or on-premise environments.
• Advise customer engineers and operators and relay feedback into the product.
• Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25%–75% of the time.
