Job summary

prado is hiring to develop responsive, high-performance smart home applications for mobile, web and desktop across iOS, Android and desktop platforms. You will translate designs into clean, reusable code and collaborate with UX/UI teams to refine interactions and animations.

Join a team focused on cloud backends, IoT integration, and rapid product expansion, with a strong R&D culture and global presence. Excellent English communication is essential, Dutch a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience building cross-platform or native apps for iOS and Android (React Native, Kotlin, Flutter or similar).
• A first experience with Rust as a programming language is an asset.
• Strong interest in working with AI-applications and expanding knowledge in the field.
• Experience integrating applications with cloud backends and IoT/connected environments.
• Knowledge of home networking concepts (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth pairing, local discovery, cloud sync).
• Experience in smart home, IoT or building automation domains is a nice-to-have.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and collaboration with design teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and app store deployment processes is a plus.
• Strong focus on code quality, performance and user experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, high-performance smart home applications for mobile, web and desktop using modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React, React Native, Swift, Kotlin or Flutter).
• Translate design prototypes into clean, maintainable and reusable code.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to continuously refine user interactions, animations and transitions.
• Integrate front-end applications with APIs and cloud services for device control, automation and data visualization.
• Work with our embedded and cloud engineers to optimize communication between devices and the user app (real-time updates, pairing flows, remote access).
• Ensure smooth multi-device consistency and adaptive layouts for phones, tablets, in-wall displays and browsers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of build systems, CI/CD pipelines and testing practices.
