Mercor is seeking a French Linguistic Expert on a remote contract basis to support high‑quality French content for AI research projects. You will evaluate, edit, and annotate French text across translation, summarization, dialogue, and grammar correction tasks.

The role requires native or near-native French, strong linguistic skills, and experience with NLP data work in French. Collaboration with distributed teams and researchers is essential for ongoing model improvement.

• Native or near-native fluency in French with excellent grammar and styling.
• Experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in French.
• Understanding of linguistic nuances, regional variations, and context-appropriate usage.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors or unnatural phrasing.
• Clear communication skills and experience working in distributed, remote teams.
