Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company in Brussels, is seeking an experienced S&OP Specialist for a 6-month freelance assignment. You will manage end-to-end S&OP processes, coordinate meetings, and ensure alignment across demand, supply, production and commercial teams.

You will analyze forecasts, capacity, and inventory while driving continuous improvement and scenario planning in a hybrid work setup with regular Brussels presence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in S&OP, IBP, or related supply chain planning.
• Strong understanding of demand and supply planning, inventory, and production planning.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional planning processes and stakeholder meetings.
• Excellent communication and data-driven decision making.

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking for an experienced S&OP Specialist to join their Supply Chain team in Brussels on a 6-month freelance assignment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and improving the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, production, and business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supply chain professional to contribute to a dynamic pharmaceutical environment and help drive planning excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the end-to-end S&OP process across demand planning, supply planning, and business stakeholders.
• Lead and support monthly S&OP meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment between departments.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production, Procurement, Logistics and Commercial teams.
• Analyse demand forecasts, supply capacity, inventory levels and potential supply constraints.
• Identify supply chain risks, gaps, and opportunities, providing recommendations to improve planning accuracy and service levels.
• Prepare and consolidate S&OP reports, dashboards, and performance KPIs for management review.
• Support scenario planning and what-if analysis to assess the impact of demand changes, capacity constraints and supply disruptions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the S&OP and Integrated Business Planning processes.
• Ensure effective communication of planning decisions and follow-up on agreed actions.
• Support the implementation or optimisation of supply chain planning tools and processes where required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in S&OP, IBP, Supply Chain Planning, or a related supply chain function.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and production planning.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional planning processes and stakeholder meetings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
• Experience with SAP, SAP IBP, APO, or comparable supply chain planning systems is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables within a freelance assignment.
• Fluent English is required. French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
