Job summary

Our client, a multinational, seeks a Finance Team Lead to manage two finance administrators and coordinate with external providers for international entities.

The role covers accounting entries, banking and payments, month-end closing, group consolidation, reconciliations, cash flow, monthly reports, and coordination of Belgian GAAP and IFRS statutory statements, plus supporting the annual audit.

• Team Management & Stakeholder Coordination: Lead and support a team of two finance administrators while coordinating with external service providers and stakeholders responsible for the financial administration of international entities.
• Accounting & Payment Oversight: Prepare and review complex accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while overseeing banking transactions and payment processes.
• Month-End Closing & Group Consolidation: Manage the monthly closing cycle and oversee the consolidation of group entities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Reconciliations & Cash Flow Management: Supervise balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring consistency between financial and sub-ledger records, with a strong focus on cash flow monitoring and reconciliation.
• Financial Reporting & Business Analysis: Produce monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
• Statutory & Consolidated Financial Statements: Coordinate the preparation of annual statutory and consolidated financial statements in compliance with both Belgian GAAP and IFRS requirements.
• Audit & Financial Control Support: Act as a key point of contact during the annual external audit process, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate documentation and timely resolution of audit requests.
