g2 Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Buyer for a freelance 6-month assignment in Belgium (Liège region). You will lead procurement for valves and engineered equipment, issue RFQs, and negotiate terms while collaborating with engineers and using SAP to drive procurement processes.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial procurement, experience with valves/equipment, and fluency in French and English. This is a hands-on position in a large industrial engineering environment with a start date

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Buyer in industrial/engineering environments.
• Experience sourcing valves, mechanical equipment, or engineered products.
• Proven supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
• SAP experience required.

Due to increased project workload, our client is seeking a hands-on Buyer to support procurement activities within a large industrial engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement of industrial valves and engineered equipment
• Prepare and issue RFQ packages to suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms
• Work closely with engineering teams to clarify technical requirements
• Manage supplier communications, clarification lists, and expediting activities
• Utilise SAP to manage procurement processes

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience as a Buyer within an industrial or engineering environment
• Experience sourcing valves, mechanical equipment, or engineered products
