Key duties include month-end close, revenue and margin analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting to management and the board, cash flow planning, and acting as a business partner to commercial teams. The role emphasizes process improvement and automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Business Controlling or Financial Analysis.
• Strong knowledge of controlling, accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsabilités

Our client is an international fashion and apparel company with a strong presence across European markets. The Finance team is looking for additional support due to a temporary increase in workload and the upcoming annual budgeting cycle.

Job Description

As a Freelance Business Controller your responsibilities are:

• Support month-end and year-end closing, including reconciliations and consolidation ;
• Analyse revenue, margins, stocks and performance variances versus budget and previous years ;
• Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and financial models ;
• Prepare management and Board reporting, presentations and ad hoc financial analyses ;
• Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning ;
• Act as a business partner to commercial and operational teams ;
• Challenge assumptions and contribute to business cases and investment decisions ;
• Improve and automate controlling processes, reporting and financial tools ;

The Successful Applicant

A successful Freelance Business Controller should have:

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field ;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Controlling or Financial Analysis ;
• Strong understanding of controlling, accounting principles and financial reporting ;
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling ;
• Strong analytical skills with excellent Excel knowledge; BI experience is a plus ;
• Interest in digitalisation, data tools and business systems ;
• Structured, proactive and hands-on with strong attention to detail ;
• Fluent in French and English ;
