g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a Brussels-based freelance engagement of 12 months+. The role involves leading month-end close, reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis within a multinational pharmaceutical environment.

You will oversee closing processes, prepare reports, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement of finance systems and reporting. Candidates should have proven FC experience in complex organisations and ERP implementation exposure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Financial Controller in complex or international organisations.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes.
• Experience in multinational environments.
• Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets and forecasts to support business decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance, costs and variances, providing meaningful insights to senior stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance, including processes, systems and reporting.
• Proven experience working as a Financial Controller within a complex or international organisation.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes.
• Experience working within or another multinational environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and/or finance transformation projects.
