Little Miss Robot is seeking a freelance software developer in Belgium to work across planning, coding, testing, and documentation, using AI coding tools daily and aligning with team conventions. You will collaborate with designers, connect with APIs and backend systems, and help deliver accessible, performant web experiences.

You’ll work one or two days at the client’s office and the rest from home or our Ghent/Antwerp offices.

Formación

• Uses AI coding tools daily and guides context for the team
• Strong grasp of responsive design, mobile-first development and WCAG accessibility
• Familiar with Git and modern development workflows
• Fixes bugs proactively and maintains high quality
• Clear team communication and collaborative mindset
• Fluency in Dutch and English

Descripción del empleo

• Use AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot across your whole workflow, from planning and writing code to testing, refactoring and documentation.
• Review AI-generated code critically and keep it secure and easy to maintain.
• Help the team get more out of AI by sharing how you work and setting up workflows others can pickup.
• Work closely with designers to turn interface designs into clear, usable experiences.
• Connect with APIs and backend systems.
• Keep accessibility and performance in mind from start to finish. In public services, everyone has to be able to use what youbuild.
• Lead by example in writing clean, well-tested and documented code.

Where you'll work

You’ll spend one or two days aweek at the client’s office at most. On the other days you choose whether to work from home or from our offices in Ghent or Antwerp.

What we're looking for

• You use AI coding tools daily and keep up with how they change. You know how to give AI the right context and set it up to follow the team’s conventions. You notice quickly when it’s guessing, and you know when to let an agent run and when to step in yourself.
• A solid grasp of responsive design, mobile-first development and web accessibility ( WCAG ).
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• You fix bugs before anyone asks and keep pushing the quality up.
• Clear communication and ateam-focused mindset.
• You’re fluent in Dutch and English.
• You work as afreelancer.
