skeyes, the Belgian air navigation service provider, is hiring a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO) to support pilots with timely information in uncontrolled airspace and to bridge free flight with the controlled environment. You will ensure safe operation by recording data from the FIC frequency, coordinating with air traffic controllers, and activating Search & Rescue when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to absorb new knowledge quickly in a technical setting.
• Basic knowledge of Belgian airspace and aviation context.
• Very good English skills, both spoken and written.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Work accurately and in a structured way under time pressure.
• Stress resistant and decisive when it matters.
• Team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Provide Flight Information Services in uncontrolled airspace.
• Act as information link between uncontrolled and controlled airspace and coordinate with controllers.
• Coordinate with air traffic controllers and carry out necessary coordination.
• Activate Search & Rescue procedures when a pilot is in distress.
• Monitor flight plan data processing and intervene if data is missing or incorrect.
• Advance into AMC duties including Flex Use of Airspace and dynamic management.
