Jensen Hughes seeks a Fire Simulation Engineer to advance fire safety through sophisticated simulations. You will contribute to high-stakes projects within the Fire & Building Safety team, collaborating with industry experts and utilizing advanced tools to address complex safety challenges.

Candidates should have a minimum of three years in fire simulation, strong data analysis skills, and fluency in Dutch and English, with French a plus.

Qualifications

• Education in Fire Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fire simulation or related area.
• Proficiency in FDS and PyroSim; data analysis skills required.
• Pathfinder and IDA preferred but not essential; Python desirable.
• Relevant fire safety certifications advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Dutch and English language skills required; French advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute fire simulation models to assess fire behaviour and smoke movement.
• Analyse results to inform fire safety strategies and design improvements.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate fire safety into designs.
• Prepare technical reports and client presentations of findings.
• Ensure simulations comply with local and international fire safety standards.
• Contribute to R&D and stay updated on new simulation techniques.
• Engage with clients in meetings to discuss requirements and findings.
