Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. in Belgium seeks a Field Engineer specialized in High Voltage / Gas-Insulated Switchgear to support installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical substations, maintenance or industrial field service.
• Knowledge of HV distribution, protection systems, transformers, switchgear or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Strong safety awareness and experience working in industrial environments.
• Ability to work independently on site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Nice to have GIS experience, experience with power plants/heavy industry, knowledge of commissioning standards and testing procedures, experience with international projects.
