Job summary

EY-Parthenon in Belgium seeks a Director in the Financial Due Diligence team to lead transaction diligence and value creation for PE and corporate clients. You will supervise end-to-end financial due diligence, manage teams, liaise with clients at all levels, and deliver reports and recommendations that influence deal outcomes.

You will guide complex analyses, coach junior professionals, and contribute to business development while upholding EY standards of quality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Master degree and more than 5 years of working experience in Transactions.
• Good accounting knowledge.
• Team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work independently with professional assertiveness.
• Project management skills and strong Excel skills.

EY-Parthenon is growing and is looking for a Director in our Financial Due Dilligence team.

The Transaction Diligence team aims to assist clients, both private equity firms and corporate clients, throughout the whole transaction process. Whilst traditional financial due diligence is a key element of the service, transaction support is much broader, incorporating assistance with business plan assessment, including support to the transaction management, negotiation and documentation, and post-completion integration.

Key responsibilities

As a director, your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Performing financial due diligence procedures relating to the sale and purchase of companies and businesses. Identifying issues that may be of relevance and for assessing the impact thereof on the transaction.
• You identify and understand the key business drivers and provide value to the client through our services and the deliverables we produce.
• Regular liaison with the target as well as the client at all levels.
• Working closely with members of the team, sharing responsibility for the project, providing support, and communicating all issues, conclusions, and the progress made.
• Gathering, verifying and analyzing information, and formulating views and conclusions, and driving this process.
• Participating in the preparation of deliverables including reports, presentations and discussions with the client.
• Providing coaching to others, share your technical and other knowledge with your team and the department and draw upon previous experience.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Master degree and more than 5 years of working experience in Transactions
• Good accounting knowledge
• Team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• You have the necessary competencies to perform your job independently while using professional assertiveness
• Project management skills and excel spread-sheeting skills
  

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Excellent communication skills and within a virtual working environment
• Enrollment in the CFA program
