Job summary

IOGP Europe is seeking an Institutional Relations Manager or Senior Officer to lead our EU advocacy and institutional outreach. The role reports to the Head of Institutional Relations and may be filled at Manager or Senior Officer level depending on experience.

You will monitor EU policy developments, engage with European Commission services, track Parliament activities, and coordinate briefings, position papers and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in EU public affairs or advocacy.
• Ability to map stakeholders and liaise with European institutions.
• Strong research, policy analysis and drafting skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English plus another European language.
• Delivery focus, collaboration and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of IOGP Europe's institutional outreach and advocacy strategy to shape a predictable EU regulatory framework.
• Monitor EU policy developments and gather institutional intelligence for engagement with EC cabinets and services.
• Track developments in the European Parliament, map committee positions, and support engagement with MEPs and parliamentary staff.
• Monitor Council negotiations, map Member State positions, and support engagement with Permanent Representations.
• Coordinate engagement with third countries, diplomatic missions and international stakeholders with policy colleagues.
• Collaborate with Policy and Communications teams to align advocacy priorities and external messaging.
• Prepare briefing materials, talking points, position papers and other materials for senior-level engagement.
• Maintain up-to-date records of stakeholder interactions and institutional intelligence.
• Assist with Outreach Sub-Committee planning, agendas and follow-up materials.
