Job summary

The Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) seeks an EU Policy & Communications Intern for its Brussels office. You will assist communications, events and policy monitoring while engaging with policy teams and members.

A strong interest in EU affairs and climate policy is essential. The role offers a CIP internship of 6 months, hybrid work from Brussels, and opportunities to develop content, coordinate events, and draft policy briefings.

Qualifications

• University degree in political science, social science, communications/journalism, environmental economics/sciences or related field.
• Good understanding of the working of the institutions of the European Union and the EU policymaking process.
• Ability to draft social media content and support events production.
• Ability to monitor and analyse key policy and political developments in the EU.
• Interest in the support of the organisation of events.
• Professional fluency in English, with other European languages as an asset.
• Good writing skills and ability to turn technical information into clear content.
• A self-starter who is passionate about the climate agenda.
• The right to work in Belgium.

Responsibilities

• Supporting with the production of digital content, including social media posts and visual assets (Canva).
• Supporting with the organisation of the CCSA Communications & External Affairs (EU) Working Group, where Members convene to discuss external affairs strategies for the months to come.
• Researching and liaising with speakers and supporting online events (Zoom).
• Helping at in-person events with support as required.
• Monitoring policy developments and drafting briefings.
