Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Brussels seeks an Executive Director for the EU Government Relations team, reporting to the Head of EU Government Relations.

The role focuses on identifying key EU policy initiatives and executing advocacy strategies before government officials, regulators, and trade associations. You will lead engagement on EU policy issues relevant to JPMorgan Chase’s business interests, with emphasis on retail banking, payments and technology, and build senior stakeholder relationships to

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years’ experience in EU financial services policy (retail banking, payments, or digital finance).
Proven track record with EU institutions, member state governments, and regulators.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication.
Ability to lead at senior executive levels.
Fluency in English; other European languages are an asset.
Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor EU policy developments impacting the firm in consumer and digital banking.
Advise senior leadership with timely analysis of regulatory issues.
Develop and implement advocacy strategies on policy proposals.
Build networks with EU institutions, member states, trade associations, and industry peers.
Represent the firm at meetings with EU officials, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Contribute to trade association activities and develop consensus positions.
Prepare presentations and internal briefings for senior management.
Lead and mentor Brussels-based team members.
