Job summary

GSCC Network is seeking a TBIP Cloud and AI Strategic Communications Specialist responsible for shaping the public and political debate around data centre expansion and cloud sovereignty in Europe. This role will lead strategic communications across campaigns, build public and political support, and engage with a wide network of stakeholders in a remote, flexible capacity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience developing and delivering strategic communications and campaign strategies, ideally in a policy, advocacy or public affairs context.
• Strong understanding of the European political and policy landscape, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, compelling public-facing narratives.
• Experience shaping campaign messaging, influencing public debate and identifying opportunities for media and political engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical or policy issues to non-specialist audiences.
• Experience working collaboratively with campaigners, policy experts, advocacy organisations and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, respond flexibly to emerging opportunities and manage competing priorities
• Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language;

Responsibilities

• Engage with and support organisations campaigning for democratic pacing and stricter safeguards on data centre construction, shaping communications and narratives toward constructive policy outcomes.
• Develop and deliver strategic communications to build public and political support for stronger democratic and sustainability requirements for data centre construction in Europe.
• Develop and deliver strategic communications to build public and political support for stronger sovereignty requirements in cloud procurement, challenging dependency in sensitive public and private sectors.
• Develop messaging, campaign framing and media strategies to support TBIP’s sustainable and sovereign data centres work.
• Collaborate with TBIP and FOTI policy, advocacy and campaign colleagues, and external stakeholders to align communications with policy objectives.
