Transport & Environment in Brussels is seeking a Climate Policy Intern to support EU climate policy work within the climate team. You will help develop strategies around carbon pricing in road transport and buildings, and assist in communicating policy positions.

This full-time, one-year internship starts November 2026 and is paid under Belgium's Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle at €1800 gross per month; the role is based in Brussels with a hybrid working arrangement and engagement with EU

Qualifications

• Interest in EU climate policy
• Ability to analyse policy proposals
• Strong written and verbal English

Responsabilités

• Provide policy research and analysis for the team and longer-term projects.
• Attend meetings with stakeholders and policymakers.
• Analyse amendments and policy proposals from EU institutions to align with T&E position.
• Monitor and update the team on developments in the energy sector.
• Develop and implement campaigns, identifying target audiences and analytical support for policy goals.
• Support the coalition with other NGOs, progressive industry and think tanks.
• Draft concise briefings, blog posts and other communication material.
• Help organize events (online and in person).
