Job summary

Optimus Search is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer / EPLAN Drafter for a Belgium-based, on-site role starting in November/December 2026. You will design, develop and maintain electrical drawings using EPLAN, collaborating with electrical and automation teams to meet project specs.

The position requires fluent Dutch and the ability to work independently in a Dutch-speaking environment, commuting to Belgium five days a week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with EPLAN (ideally EPLAN Electric P8).
• Background in electrical design, drafting or engineering.
• Experience producing schematics, wiring diagrams and documentation.
• Strong understanding of electrical components, control panels and industrial systems.
• Fluent or professional Dutch is essential.
• Ability to work independently and with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and modify electrical schematics and drawings using EPLAN.
• Produce detailed electrical diagrams and layouts.
• Create and maintain electrical documentation and plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, automation specialists and project teams.
• Ensure drawings meet project specs and standards.
• Review and update existing designs as required.
• Support with technical modifications and design improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation in Dutch.
