VITO invites an experienced Project Lead to guide Earth Observation platform capabilities for security, defense and resilience programs. You will translate stakeholder needs into secure, scalable services and lead proposals to delivery across European partners, shaping a roadmap for dual-use EO data, analytics and decision-ready information.

You will collaborate with researchers, IT architects and engineers, manage budgets and ensure compliance with export controls.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated track record in Earth Observation data and services, including analytics and derived applications for civil, security or defense use cases.
• Proven experience in coordinating proposals for ESA, Horizon Europe, EDA or similar programs.

Responsabilités

• Co-define the technical innovation strategy for Earth Observation platforms for security, defense and resilience.
• Lead preparation and coordination of project proposals for European programs.
• Build and manage international consortia across multiple European countries.
• Coordinate project activities with ESA, Horizon Europe, EDA project officers and partners.
• Oversee end-to-end implementation of technical solutions and ensure timely delivery.
